Braces for Children & Teens
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven.
By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.
Adult Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment is no longer just for teens. Many adults are choosing to receive treatment because they understand the importance of maintaining their health, and they want to feel better about their appearance. Adults everywhere are taking advantage of the opportunity to receive orthodontic care, and now you can too.
Phase I - Early Prevention
Early treatment (also known as Phase One) typically begins around age eight or nine . The goal of early treatment is to correct the growth of the jaw and certain bite problems, such as under bite. Early treatment also helps to make room for permanent teeth to come in properly, lessening the chance of extractions in the future.
TMJ-TMD pain
Your temporomandibular joints, or TMJs, connect your lower jawbone to your skull. These joints get a lot of use throughout the day as you speak, chew, swallow, and yawn. Pain in and around these joints can be unpleasant and may even restrict movement.
Accelerated Orthodontics
We are excited to offer accelerated orthodontic treatment! If you’re interested in improving the aesthetics of your smile, but are put off by the thought of having to spend months or even years in braces, accelerated orthodontics could be right for you. This state-of-the-art technology speeds up tooth movement, and though every patient’s situation is different, many can now have their orthodontic treatment completed in less than a year.
Sleep Apnea & Snoring
Sleep apnea is a condition in which your breathing stops periodically during sleep, as often as 20 to 30 times per hour. Each time you stop breathing in your sleep, the resulting lack of oxygen alerts your brain, which temporarily wakes you up to restart proper breathing.
